MIKE

Shepherd

Mike supplies the "man muscles" and spiritual leadership needed to keep the family farm ministry strong & healthy. He fulfills the roles of shepherd, prayer warrior, devoted husband & papa, captain of the wheel barrow, wood chopper, coal hauler, gardener, and "shrooner." Also, as part of his "God-call," Mike partners with the Lord to provide the financial resources through his seasonal day-job as a Transportation Construction Inspector. His life verse is Psalm 16:8 . He is an especially gifted encourager and loving care-giver. Mike is a shepherd!

MEET THE REST OF THE TEAM

DEB

Boss Mare

The long-time "God-vision" of this farm family ministry and a sincere devotion to living out the Gospel of Jesus Christ in community, is at the heart of everything Debbie does at TFO Farm. Her love for others fuels her boundless energy and commitment to serve as Christ calls and empowers. Deb's life verse is Psalm 118:24 . Her enthusiasm for all things equine and her insistence upon generosity & excellence as well as her gifts of discernment, encouragement and exhortation earned Deb the title, "Boss Mare."

KATELYN

Wrangler Tenderfoot

Katelyn spends summers and other school breaks at TFO Farm with her Nana (Deb) & Papa (Mike) Peterson. She comes by her love for horses honestly.

Kate has a vision for a children's horse camp at the farm, someday. We know that all things are possible with Christ, so let's keep Katelyn in our prayers as she learns and grows in her love of Jesus and the spiritual gifts he has chosen just for her.

TFO Farm Life Yesterday & Today

PLEASE PRAY & LIFT PRAISES TO OUR HEAVENLY FATHER

And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. ~Colossians 3:17

Please agree with us in prayer to Our Heavenly Father in Jesus' name regarding the following spiritual needs:

  • Continued guidance for God's direction in ALL things
  • Continued divine protection from the enemy
  • Discernment and wisdom as we serve our community
  • Continue to call & equip our leaders, staff and students for the work and receipt of the ministry of Jesus Christ
  • Continue to provide power & grace to love the Church & the world

We are also seeking the Lord for the following TFO Family Ministry material needs:

  • New barn roof
  • Supplies, materials & manpower for Barn/Stable repairs
  • Tractor & manure spreader
  • Indoor arena
  • Round pen panels
  • Hauling rig (truck & trailer)
  • More volunteer "workers for the harvest"

We continually praise God for Who He is, The Great "I AM." We also praise Him for guiding us in our praying and for hearing our petitions. He is ALWAYS faithful to answer in His perfect time and in His perfect way!

IN MEMORY OF ROSCO

Sheep guard

Part Jack Russel Terrier, part Beagle, part comedian, Rosco patrolled the perimeter of the flock like a sentry. He was more suited for hunting, but when not chasing down the unwanted barn critters, he was quite content to follow Mike around and pretend to tend to the sheep. Rosco was hit by a car and passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2020. We certainly do miss you, little buddy!

IN MEMORY OF WILSON

Faithful Companion

Wilson found his retirement home at Too Far Out Farm in 2009. We welcomed this 16.5 hand Thoroughbred with great hopes of making him a star in our work with children and adults. He did not disappoint! We often called him "everyone's horse" because he was so easy to get along with and he loved to take care of all whom he encountered! Wilson was everyone's hero until he aged-out and passed away in October 2017. He is missed, but we are sure he and Rosco are enjoying their reunion in Heaven.
