As such, we are now seeking community leaders who are energized, qualified and most importantly, called to serve on the board of directors of this Christ-centered ministry. Following is a brief statement summarizing our history and where we stand today in the process. Read and learn more about how to get involved as a board member:

In May of 2009, Mike & Deb Peterson had a party! They gathered family & friends at their little farm, their home, that they affectionately call, Too Far Out Farm. At that first "open house," they dedicated ALL their resources to the service of the Lord. Since then, the Lord has been faithful to bring the lost, the hurting and the broken to their doorstep. Many people in transition found the love of Jesus at Too Far Out Farm, as expressed through the ofttimes lost, hurting and broken, yet regenerated hearts of Mike & Deb. The Peterson's sought to share what they had, whether it be a horse back trail ride or lesson, a job cleaning the sheep shed, a word of truth or a bedroom in their home - whatever was needed at the time. Mike & Deb remain committed to following Jesus as they tend to the mission & ministry set before them. Fast forward to 2021 when they explored the possibilities of offering professional equine-assisted services to address the overwhelming drug overdose crisis hitting our communities, churches and families. Foundations of Recovery Horsemanship pilot programs were launched. Outcomes-based data was collected and will be analyzed, providing a data-driven evaluation of the program. Now we are poised to birth the next generation of The Foundations of Recovery Horsemanship Programs.

For further information, please read the Vision & Mission Statements of Too Far Out Farm LLC and ask yourself if you are willing get on board with us to transform a region. You may inquire further by submitting the form on this page to get in on the ground floor of this emerging Christ-centered ministry of love to our communities.
