A Word About Money
This page is devoted to answering your questions about the financial aspects of the
Family Ministries at Too Far Out Farm. You will find some frequently asked questions about
MONEY MATTERS,
regarding the operation of the
Too Far Out Farm
E.A.L. & E.A.R.
programs.
Let's be real REAL here. At Too Far Out Farm, we struggle. The Good Lord is still showing us many things about letting go and letting God. That includes our attitudes about money. Don't miss this:
MONEY IS THE SLAVE, NOT THE MASTER!
Whenever possible, we will not refuse services to anyone because of an inability to pay, but you have to ask to receive. You may call the TFO Farm office to learn more about this Christian ministry.
How may I help a TFO Farm student in need?
You may contribute to the Scholarship Fund through our PayPal DONATE link.
The Scholarship Fund allows tuition to be partially paid OR waived completely for students who apply for a scholarship and meet SCHOLARSHIP eligibility requirements.

HOW YOUR DONATIONS HELP: For every $500 added to the Scholarship fund, one eligible student is awarded admission to a six-week equine-assisted learning or recovery coaching program, OR six students are awarded tuition for one session each.
Although we are not set up to provide receipts for tax deduction purposes, you may opt for your family or business to receive recognition on the SPONSOR PAGE of our Foundations Program website, and in some instances, on other TFO Farm digital platforms, like our social media pages and monthly e-Newsletters, as well.
There are various levels of recognition, based on the amount donated. Sponsor recognition is a feature of the Scholarship Fund program that you must apply for after you submit your contribution through the PayPal DONATE link.
After donating, you will receive a confirmation email or text from Too Far Out Farm LLC thanking you for your financial contribution. The confirmation email or text will also provide you with more information on how you may apply for your sponsorship recognition to appear online. Please allow up to 6 weeks for the Sponsor Recognition Benefits to be fully implemented, online. The online recogniton will be visible on our platforms for at least one year, per our SPONSORSHIP RECOGNITION GUIDELINES.
How may I sponsor a TFO Farm horse and what are my personal benefits?
Each $500 sponsorship of a horse provides daily care, feeding, veterinary & farrier care for one horse for one month. We hold ourselves to the highest standards possible when it comes to maintaining the health and well-being of our equines. Without them, our recovery & learning programs would not be nearly as fruitful and effective as they are.
If you would like public acknowledgment for your contribution, please call Debbie at 814-795-2686 to request the ACKNOWLEGMENT FORM to be emailed or USPS mailed to you. You must request and submit the ACKNOWLEDGMENT FORM, to receive the following HORSE SPONSOR benefits.:
▪ Four free horsemanship lessons with the sponsored horse for each month sponsored. (Classes must be scheduled and completed within 1 year of giving the donation.)
▪ Mentions on the official TFO Farm Facebook page and in one of the TFO Farm e-Newsletters.
▪ An invitation for 2 people to attend the Annual Horse Camp Out in
▪ If you give a 10-month horse sponsorship ($5,000), your family or company name will be engraved on a brass plate and installed on a new leather halter for the sponsored horse.
Are my donations to the Scholarship Fund or Horse Sponsorship Fund tax deductible?
At this time, donations are NOT tax deductible. Too Far Out Farm is registered with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a "Benefit" Limited Liability Company. As such, we pay taxes on all revenue, including contributions received by our generous donors. Too Far Out Farm LLC is not a 501-c3 entity.
How much do Equine-Assisted Services cost?
Our rates for equine-assisted learning and/or equine-assisted recovery coaching sessions are listed here:
- Private coaching session: $80/hour (Package discount plans are also available.)
- Group coaching session: $60/hour, per person (Seasonal discount specials are offered ocassionally.)
- Serenity Retreat Day (Special one-day workshops pre-planned for agency, church or organizational teams): $40/hour, per person (based on a pre-planned, 6-hour retreat day)
Because our equine-assisted services are very individualized and programs are custom-designed to suit the students' personal goals for personal development and their ability to pay, these base rates may vary widely from student to student.
Who pays for equine-assisted services for a student that cannot afford it?
Students may apply to receive a scholarship, which is funded by conributions made to our SCHOLARSHIP FUND by various community members who believe in the mission of Too Far Out Farm.
How does the Scholarship Fund work?
Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first serve basis, until the available funds are exhausted, in any given service year. Full and partial scholarships are awarded based on financial need and your ability to meet the other eligibility requirements listed in the Scholarship Info & Application document. All scholarship awards are determined by and at the sole discretion of the managerial staff of Too Far Out Farm LLC, based on the information the applicant provides.
